Hello! I’m a Brazilian translator working from English, German, and French into Brazilian Portuguese. I hold a Bachelor's degree in International Communication and Translation from the University of Hildesheim, Germany.
As part of my academic journey, I completed my final dissertation with a German-to-French translation of an article from Psychologie Heute on depression—deepening my interest in psychology and mental health, alongside my lifelong passion for literature.
I lived in France for two years and have been based in Germany since 2018, which has enriched my understanding of both languages and cultures. This international experience enables me to translate not just words, but cultural nuances as well.
I'm a passionate reader of both fiction and non-fiction. I’m especially drawn to books on psychology, politics, and social issues.
Some of my favorite authors include Patrick Modiano, Elena Ferrante, Margaret Atwood, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and Ana Suy. I’m inspired by works like Yoga by Emmanuel Carrère, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, Nordstadt by Annika Büsing, Torto Arado by Itamar Vieira Júnior, and Tudo é rio by Carla Madeira. Among non-fiction titles, I admire How Migration Really Works by Hein de Haas, The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, Justice by Michael Sandel, and Vor dem Gesetz sind nicht alle gleich by Ronen Steinke.
As a translator, I strive to remain faithful to the author’s voice while making the text resonate naturally with Brazilian readers. I’m excited to work with authors who want to expand their reach and bring their stories to new audiences.
